Saturday Mix & Match October 24th 12:30 - 3:30pm ET ✨

On Saturday, October 24th from 12:30 - 3:30pm ET we’re mixing up the tables for a different kind of afternoon at The Hidden Parlor.

Each foursome will be thoughtfully matched to bring together two experienced American Mahjong players with two beginner players for an afternoon of playing, learning and meeting someone new.

If you know the game well, indicate Experienced when registering (i.e., you are an intermediate or advanced player). You’ll be paired with newer players and encouraged to share what you know as you play.

If you’re a Beginner, come learn by sitting down and playing alongside experienced players. An instructor will also be available on site throughout the afternoon to answer questions and offer guidance as needed.

Halfway through, we’ll mix up the foursomes again, giving you a second thoughtfully matched group to play with. Along the way, we’ll introduce classic chip scoring, break out the bells for an individual American Mahjong trivia competition, and have prizes up for grabs throughout the afternoon.

🔔 Mahjong Trivia Champion
We’ll pass out the bells and put your American Mahjong knowledge to the test. One trivia champion will take home a $50 Hidden Parlor boutique credit.

✨ The Hidden Parlor Spirit Award
One player who brings something special to the tables by being welcoming, helpful, encouraging and fun to play with will receive a $50 Hidden Parlor credit.

🃏 Find the Golden Joker
Four players will find a Golden Joker during the afternoon. Find one and you’re guaranteed a prize and a spot in our final envelope reveal.

One Golden Joker winner will receive a complimentary Electronic Table Night for four. Two will receive $15 Hidden Parlor boutique credits, and one will receive a complimentary non-alcoholic beverage or snack.

🎁 A Special Surprise
Every registered player is entered to win a special surprise prize, revealed and drawn at the end of the afternoon. You must be present to win.

That means plenty of ways to win that have nothing to do with how many Mahjongs you call.

The afternoon also includes two rounds of pre-matched play, on-site instructor support, an introduction to classic chip scoring with a take-home guide, and complimentary coffee and tea. $10 for members and $60 for non-members. Please bring your American Mahjong card.
