Join us for a 3-session instructor-led introduction to American Mahjong at The Hidden Parlor.

This beginner-friendly class is designed for new players and novice players looking for a full refresh. Led by a well-regarded, experienced independent Mahjong instructor, the series begins with the tiles before moving into the NMJL card, the Charleston, basic rules, game flow, table etiquette, and early strategy.

By the end of the series, players should feel prepared to move toward guided play and continue building confidence at the table.

Please note: the NMJL card is purchased separately. Members already received their card as part of membership and may use it for class.

This is a class, not a league. Member and guest pricing are available. Advance registration is required.
Additional Notes

✨ This series is designed for true beginners and novice players looking for a full, confidence-building refresh from the very beginning.

✨ Instruction will be led by a well-regarded, experienced independent Mahjong instructor and begins with learning the tiles before progressing through the NMJL card, the Charleston, rules, table flow, and early strategy.

✨ By the end of the series, players should feel confident transitioning into guided play and continuing to build their game.

✨ Please bring your current NMJL card. Cards are purchased separately. Members who received their card through membership should bring it with them.

✨ The Hidden Parlor is tucked away on the first floor and is handicap accessible. The address is shared upon registration or direct inquiry.

✨ A large on-site parking lot is available, with additional parking in the adjacent municipal lot and on nearby streets. Handicap-accessible parking is also available.

✨ Feel free to bring your own snacks and/or non-alcoholic beverages.
